META-GENESIS and other stuff

META-GENESIS

Meta-Genesis  began in 2005, it is an incorporation of words and images of transgendered people.  The intent is to enlighten others from ignorance and fear,  to support those daring enough to be true to themselves, and to give hope to those struggling with indecision.

The most difficult task is embracing my motherhood.  To me becoming male
physically doesn’t make me my children’s dad.  It makes me a male mother.
Mother instincts don’t go away with transition….If anything our relationships
have grown stronger…to be able to finally show and share my true self with
the people I love most and the people who most love me.                     Beaux ‘07

I’m transitioning not only to a male body, but into a male role in society.
I now recognize the differences in how our culture “trains” its children.
Living as a man, while being raised a girl, has its conflicts.
People seem to think it odd that a young man willingly talks about
his feeling, is generally passive/submissive,
and is able to talk to women in a manner in which they typically
only find when talking to other women.
These qualities are detrimental to my manhood.
I’m a Momma’s Boy.  I’m intimidated by other men.
My brother recently told me to “Man Up”.
He didn’t mean this as a sexist comment;
he was trying to assure I would be successful in my endeavors.
Men have to act a certain way if they are to be taken seriously,
and that’s really oppressive.
How to be a “proper” man is something
that has to be learned throughout one’s life, and I was behind;
my brother was trying to help me catch up.

My whole life I’ve been  harassed, judged, and singled out.
preached at by society for being comfortable enough in my own skin
to be who I am.   My sexual preference is different.  My sex in different.
Why should a stranger understand completely if I can’t even peg it?
